PARENTING

 

“Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.” (Psalm 127:1)

While many today may look on children as a burden, God’s Word portrays them as a blessing – a reward. There’s no denying that parenting is difficult. There are challenges to be faced at every age and stage of child development.

I’ve often heard parents say that they wish their children had come with an instruction book. They did! God has given His Word to teach us His principles for child training. In addition, He has given older women to share wisdom, practical helps, and encouragement for the journey. The key is to become grounded in the truth of God’s Word and to pass that truth along to our children.

“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.” (3 John 4)
